5.2 UpgradeSpecications
Yokogawa performs upgrade work based on the following standards.
Node number
I/O nests in the old FCS are replaced with node units in the upgraded-FCS. In this case, “A new
nodenumber=anoldnestnumber+1”shallbeconguredasshowninthegurebelow.This
is a measure to be taken to make slot positions of an I/O card (module) equal before and after
upgrading the FCS. The I/O slots of the FCU after upgrade are equipped with communication
modules (*1) for node unit.
*1: Those are EC401, EC402, ANT401, ANT411, etc.

Tag name
1. Regulatory control function block
A maximum of eight character tag numbers for CENTUM V and CENTUM-XL are directly
convertedtoamaximumof16charactertagnumbersforCENTUMVPeldcontrolstations.
In addition, tag names in the case where there is an additional block including corrective
calculation, add branch numbers to original tag numbers.
Additional tag name rules:
<Original tag name> + <X> + <1 to 3>
Example:
Original tag number P100, additional tag number P100X1
