Camp On To place (queue) a call to a busy extension.
Exchange Switch. Your telephone system.
Idle mode The state your phone is in when nothing is activated; not
calling, not ringing, not diverted etc.
IP extension An extension that is using the internal data network (LAN or
WAN).
ISDN Integrated Services Digital Network. Provides your system
with supplementary services from the public net.
Speed Dialing number Abbreviated number or short number, used for making
frequently used numbers faster to dial.
Tie line An external line from the private network.
Trunk line A trunk line is the same as an external line. Can be either
digital or analog.
