2.8 Front axle
2.8.1 Change the the front axle differential oil
Drain front axle oil
• Place an oil drip pan underneath the housing.
• Loosen the oil drain plug (A) and allow the oil to
drain completely.
• Screw the cleaned drain plug back in and
tighten.

Filling with oil
• Remove dipstick (A).
• Pour the required amount of oil in through the
filler hole. Ensure cleanliness!
• Fill level between MIN and MAX marks on the
dipstick.
NOTE:
After filling, allow the engine to run for at least 5
minutes

2.8.2 Bleed the suction line of the hydrostatic fan drive
NOTE:
After each oil change and after de-oiling the front axle centre housing, the suction line of the hydrostatic
fan drive must be bled before starting the engine.
Device X899.980.417.000 for connecting the air
pressure to the front axle is provided in the tool
box.
