V. Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL): Optional

Instead of a standard HP 81521B+ Depolarizing Filter Agilent
81000DF, an HP 81521B #001 can also be used, as this option is
especially designed for low PDL.
Polarization Dependant Loss Test (Mueller method)
1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure D-13
a. Make sure that the connectors, lenses and detector windows
are clean. Refer to the cleaning procedure.
b. Ensure that the instruments have warmed up.

2. Using the setup of Figure D-13:
Use a tape to fix the patchcords on the table.
