Connection Hardware for Customer Power Source and Motor
This section includes: UL Listed Barrel Lugs, Barrel Lug to L-Bracket to Busbar Connections, Barrel Lug to L-Bracket to Busbar Connections on page 45, and Additional Power Terminal L-Brackets on page 45.
UL Listed Barrel Lugs
The customer provides UL Listed barrel lugs to make AC line input power and output motor connections to L-brackets. Barrel lugs can be either crimp or mechanical type. Use the vendor-recommended tooling to fasten
crimp type terminals to cabling. Torque mechanical type terminals according to vendor instructions. Barrel lugs for connecting to L-brackets must have the dimensions in Figure 47
.

Barrel Lug to L-Bracket to Busbar Connections
To determine if this hardware is used with your product, see Electrical Connections Made to Each Configured Bay During Installation on page 17. The L-brackets are installed onto the extruded busbar at the factory. The
barrel lugs are provided by the customer (UL Listed Barrel Lugs
). There are two sizes of L-brackets that are used in the configured bays, a four lug L-bracket and a two lug L-bracket. The four lug L-bracket can connect to
up to four lugs, two on each side of the L-bracket. The two lug L-bracket can connect to up to two lugs, one on each side of the L-bracket. Figure 48
shows the four lug L-bracket.
To attach the conductors to the L-brackets, use M12 or 0.5 in. diameter bolts, nuts, and washers. Bellville spring washers, or equivalent, are recommended. Keep the L-bracket connections at least 51 mm (2 in.) away from
the ends of the extruded busbar.
Barrel lug to L-bracket to busbar connections are used for the following connections:
Some types of configured input bay - connect customer input power to AC input busbar
Some types of configured output bay - connect AC output busbar to customer motor

Additional Power Terminal L-Brackets
If an application requires additional L-brackets, kit number 20-750-MLBRKT-F8M is available. Each kit contains three L-brackets and mounting hardware.
When using mechanical barrel lugs, be sure to maintain adequate spacing to adjacent wires, terminals, and other parts.
