11.7 Cleaning the UV blocker of the Lamp House
When cleaning the UV blocker?
Only clean the UV b locker of the Lamp House in case it is really ne
cessary. Th is me ans in case dust is clearly visible upon the
surface of the UV blocker.
This procedure requires that the UV blocker is removed from the Lamp House.

Hazardous product. Irritating to eyes and skin. Always use in a w ell ventilated area. Vapors may cause drowsi-
ness and dizziness. Avoid co ntact with skin and
eyes. In case o f contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with
plenty of water and see k medical advise.

Necessary tools
• Clean Toray se cloth.
• Clean cotton cloth.
• Demineralized water.
• Isopropanol alcohol.
How to clean the UV blocker of the Lamp House?
1. Wipe off the dus t of both sides of the UV blocker. Use for that a clean Torayse cloth.
Tip: Limit the n umber of w ipe movements. This to protect the optical coating. It is better to wipe of the dust with one good
wipe movemen t than with 10 soft wipe moveme nts.
2. Is all dust removed from the UV blocker?
If yes, s top this cleaning procedure.
If no , wipe off the d ust of the UV blocker with a clean cotton c loth and demineralized water.
Tip: Use isop ropanol alcohol instead of demineralized water to remove fin gerprints.
CAUTION: Never reinstall a UV blocker w hich is cracked or ha s a dam aged co ating. Negl ecting this will result
in irreversible damag e of optical parts in the p rojector.
