NOTICE
Contamination ofthehydraulic fluid!
The cleanliness ofthehydraulic fluid has aconsiderable impact onthe cleanliness
and service life ofthehydraulic system. Contamination ofthehydraulic fluid can
cause premature wear and malfunctions!
▶ Always ensure awork environment inthe assembly location that isfree from
dust and foreign particles toprevent foreign particles, e.g.welding beads
ormetal cuttings, from entering the hydraulic lines and lead towear and
malfunctions inthe product. The axial piston unit should beclean when
installed.
▶ Only use clean ports, hydraulic lines and assembled parts
(e.g.measuringdevices).
▶ When plugging the ports, nocontamination may ingress.
▶ Before commissioning, ensure that all hydraulic connections are tight and
that all seals and plugs oftheplug-in connection are correctly installed and
undamaged toprevent fluids and foreign particles from entering the product.
▶ Use asuitable filter system tofilter hydraulic fluid during filling tominimize solid
particle contamination and water inthe hydraulic system.
Improper cleaning
Product can bedamaged!
▶ Close all openings with appropriate protective covers inorder toprevent
cleaning agents from entering the hydraulic system.
▶ Never use solvents oraggressive cleaning agents. Use only water and,
ifnecessary, amild cleaning agent toclean the axial piston unit.
▶ Do not point ahigh-pressure cleaner atsensitive components, e.g.shaft seal,
electrical connections and components.
▶ Use fiber-free cleaning cloths for cleaning.
Environmental pollution due toincorrect disposal!
Careless disposal oftheaxial piston unit and its assembled parts, the hydraulic
fluid and the packaging material can cause environmental pollution!
▶ Dispose oftheaxial piston unit, hydraulic fluid and packaging inaccordance
with the regulations inyour country.
▶ Dispose ofthehydraulic fluid inaccordance with the applicable safety
datasheet ofthehydraulic fluid.
Danger due tochemical oraggressive environmental conditions!
Product can bedamaged! If the axial piston unit isexposed tochemical
orcorrosive environmental conditions, such assea water, fertilizer orroad salt,
itcan result incorrosion or, inextreme cases, malfunction. Leaks may lead
toaleakage ofhydraulic fluid.
▶ Take appropriate measures toprotect the axial piston unit from chemical
orcorrosive environmental conditions.
