1. (Optional) Establish a trust boundary at the access layer.
a. (Optional) Trust QoS from a Cisco IP Phone:
A single QoS policy can be applied to all voice traffic from IP Phones on a com-
mon voice VLAN. This is only possible on Layer 3 switches. Otherwise, the
inbound CoS values can be trusted when IP Phones classify and mark CoS from
their own voice and data access ports. The IP Phone is instructed to control QoS
trust with the configuration in Step 3.
