Static Address
A static MAC address can be assigned to a specific interface on this switch. Static
MAC addresses are bound to the assigned interface and cannot be moved. When
a static MAC address is seen on another interface, the address will be ignored and
will not be written to the address table.
Packets addressed to destinations stored in the Static databases are immediately
forwarded to the defined port. Static addresses are configured manually.
To define static MAC addresses to interfaces:
STEP 1 Click Admin > Static Address. The
Static Address Screen
opens.
