WCS-2 and WCS-4 Subrack Overview

WCS Subrack Fan Trays and Filter Modules

The Fan Tray and Filter Modules cool the WCS Subrack and all its cards. Fan Trays (PN 7635468-xx) and Filter

Modules (PN 7700691-xx) are factory installed in the WCS Subrack.

The following rules apply to their use:

• Filters are on the left side of the WCS chassis and Fan Trays are on the right side of the WCS chassis.

– A WCS-2 requires one Fan Tray and one Filter.

– A WCS-4 requires two Fan Trays and two Filters.

• Fan Tray(s) and Filter Module(s) must be installed for WCS operation, but they can be replaced without

system interruption.

For information on how to maintain the Filter Modules, refer to "WCS Subrack Filter Module Maintenance” on

page 78.
