Adjust surround sound parameters.
The parameters (items) which can be adjusted differ depending upon the following conditions.
• Whether an input signal is present (when playing) or not (when stopped, etc.).
• The type of input signal
• The type of surround mode
For details of which parameters can be adjusted in each surround mode, see “Surround Modes and Parameters” (vpage 31).
Tone Control
Turn tone adjustments on and off.
In general, we recommend the bass and treble to be adjusted to 0
dB(atlevel).
NOTE
• When the EXT. IN is selected as an input source, you can neither
select the tone mode nor adjust the tone.
• Extreme settings at high volume may damage your speakers.
Operating from the remote control unit
q Press [TONE].
The display shows the currently set tone mode.
w Press o p to select the desired tone mode.
e Press ui to select the desired tone.
r Press o p to adjust the selected tone as desired.
b To complete tone adjustment, repeat the above steps 3 and 4.
b If the tone display disappears, start from the step 1 again.

“Bass” and “Treble” can be set when “Tone Control” is set to “ON”.
Bass
Adjust low frequency range (bass).
Treble
Adjust high frequency range (treble).

: Playback without tone adjustment.
