4. Troubleshooting
1. Note the error code.
2. Turn off the power switch.
3. Contact a serviceperson, and explain occurrence status in detail.

Is the paper set in the paper
tray?
Set the paper in the paper tray
correctly.
Has a paper jam occurred? Remove the jammed paper.
Is the top cover opened? Close the top cover.
The unit does not start after
pressing the START key.
Does the LCD panel display
stand-by screen?
Display stand-by screen on
the LCD panel.
Is the power cord plugged in
the outlet?
Plug the power cord in the
outlet.
Is the top cover opened? Close the top cover.
Motor does not rotate.
Has a paper jam occurred? Remove the jammed paper.
Have the papers been fanned
well?
Fan the papers well.
Is the paper curled? Decurl the paper before using.
The paper cannot be fed in the
paper feed area.
Is the paper within
specification?
Use paper within specification.
Is paper fold dimension entered
correctly?
Confirm that the fold
dimension is entered correctly.
Make the process speed
slower.
Fan the papers well.
The paper cannot be folded in
the correct position.
Does the paper have static
electricity?
Use commercially available
static-free spray.
Have the papers been fanned
well?
Fan the papers well.
Is the paper curled? Decurl the paper before using.
The paper slip occurred in the
paper feed area. (The paper
cannot be fed.)
Is the conveyer roller dirty? Clean the roller with dry soft
cloth or cloth tightly wrung out
of water.
Have the papers been fanned
well?
Fan the papers well.
Is the paper curled? Decurl the paper before using.
Is paper slip jammed in the
paper path?
Check inside of the unit and
remove paper slip if any.
Is the conveyer roller dirty? Wipe off the dirt with cloth
moistened with alcohol.

electricity?
Use commercially available
static-free spray.
If trouble occurs, find the same phenomenon and message in the following table and deal with it
before contacting our serviceperson. If the problem still persists, then contact our serviceperson.
