7.13 Checking the hydraulic lines
n
Before starting your work shift, always carry out a vis-
ual check of all lines (pipes and hoses) from the
pump to the hydraulic attachment and from there to
the tank.
n
Tighten any loose screw connections or hose clamps.
n
Replace damaged pipes and/or hoses.
7.14 Checking and cleaning the
hydraulic oil filter
An oil filter must be integrated in the tank line of the hy-
draulic system. The maximum mesh width allowed for
the oil filter is 50microns; it must have a magnetic sepa-
rator.
n
Replace the oil filter cartridges after the first 50oper-
ating hours.
n
Check the oil filter every 500operating hours and re-
place as required.
7.15 Checking the adapter plate
and the breaker box for cracks
and/or wear
n
Check the adapter plate and the breaker box for
cracks every week.
n
Have rework activities or repairs carried out in time to
avoid major damage.
n
The wear rails(A) in the lower section of the breaker
box can be replaced as required. Please consult the
Epiroc Customer Center / dealer in your area.
If the wear rails have worn severely, this may cause
damage to the basic body of the breaker box.
7.16 Checking the adapter plate
bolts for wear
n
Carry out this visual check whenever the hydraulic at-
tachment has been removed from the carrier.
n
Check the adapter plate bolts for excessive wear
such as cracks, pitting or severe erosion.
n
Rework or replace worn bolts.
