11 Disposal
NOTICE Environmental damage due to consumables
Hydraulic oil and chisel paste are environmentally harm-
ful and must not penetrate the ground or enter the water
table or water supplies.
u Collect any such consumables which may escape.
u Dispose of them in accordance with the applicable
environmental regulations.
11.1 Hydraulic breaker
n
Remove the hydraulic breaker from the carrier (see
chapter Removing the hydraulic attachment from
the carrier).
n
Release the gas from the piston accumulator (see
chapter Release the pressure from the piston ac-
cumulator).
n
Remove the working tool (see chapter Working tool/
Removal).
n
Remove the adapter plate (see chapter Removing
the adapter plate).
n
Remove the hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic
breaker.
n
Clean the hydraulic breaker (see chapter Cleaning).
n
Before disposal the HP-accumulator must be depres-
surised. This must be done by an authorized person.
Contact the Epiroc Customer Center / dealer in your
area.
n
Dispose of the hydraulic breaker in line with all appli-
cable regulations or consult an authorised and spe-
cialised recycling company.
11.2 Hydraulic hoses
n
Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic hoses and
collect it.
n
Dispose of the hydraulic hoses in accordance with
the applicable regulations to avoid environmental
hazards.
11.3 Hydraulic oil
n
Collect any hydraulic oil that escapes.
n
Dispose of it in accordance with the applicable envi-
ronmental regulations.
11.4 Chisel paste and grease
cartridges
n
Dispose of chisel paste and not completely emptied
grease cartridges in accordance with the applicable
regulations.
n
Completely emptied grease cartridges can be recy-
cled.
