5.10 POS LOOP Menu
The POS LOOP menu contains the position loop parameters.
The position loop diagram is shown in the chapter “CONTROL DIAGRAMS” Figure 32. Pos Loop & References
(see also Figure 1. Basic control diagram in paragraph 3 Operating principle).
The position controller is active when
The electric line shaft (see Figura 1. – Controller block P) is configured as Els Control Mode = Phase
During a positioning (see POSITIONING menu)
Given that the final references for the slave shaft are a speed and a position, the position error is managed
only by the proportional controller.
With the position controller active, parameter Els Spd FFW gain is also active to allow scaling of Feed Forward
speed. If set to a value below 100%, the position controller will always give a correction greater than 0.
Note: in electric line shaft mode, the slave drive must be configured so that its maximum allowed speed is
higher than that of its master multiplied by the maximum ratio. This is needed to ensure a sufficient working
margin during following, engage transients, or phase corrections.
Scaling of feed forward speed.
Position proportional gain.
Els Pos P gain - normally must be set at ¼ of value set in parameter IPA 2242 Bandwidth on SPEED REG GAINS
