C. Venting Requirements & Restrictions
Acombustionblowerisusedtoextractthecombustiongases
from the rebox. This causes a negative pressure in the
reboxandapositivepressureintheventingsystem.The
longer the vent pipe and more elbows used in the system,
thegreatertheowresistance.

combustion blower outlet.
Any use of horizontal venting will require more frequent
cleaning.Itistheresponsibilityoftheinstallertomakesure
theentireuecongurationisaccessibleforcleaning.
4" stainless steel ex vent piping is only allowed for use
in masonry replaces and chimneys or factory builtwood
burningreplaceswithclassAmetalchimneys.Allpelletvent
pipe must be secured together either by means provided by
pipe manufacturer or by 3 screws at each joint.
There are two different flue pipe stubs available. The unit
comes standard with the largest pipe stub.
1. Part#1-00-574034isforusewith4”PLventstarterpipe
and4”stainlesssteelexpipe(Part#1-00-574034).
2. Part#1-00-674039isforusewith3”PLventstarterpipe
andalsoforusewith3”aluminumexductforoutsideair
connections.
Useonlythespeciedventingcomponents.Useofany
other components will void the product warranty and
may pose a hazard.
Do Not Install A Flue Damper In The Exhaust Venting
SystemOfThisAppliance.

extendingfromtheinserttothetopofthechimney.The
chimneylinermustconformtotheClass3requirements
of CAN/ULC-S635, Standard for Lining Systems for
Existing Masonry or Factory Built Chimneys and Vents,
or CAN/ULC-S640, Standard for Lining Systems for
New Masonry Chimneys.
