configuration needs to be manually edited to match one of these
configurations. Another option could be to create a copy of the existing site
configuration and then delete the site elements not required to be imported. It
is, of course, necessary that the mechanical and electrical installation is also
adjusted so it will match the changed site configuration.
2.3.1.1 Single CIU Prime
In this topology, a single CIU Prime is connected to a host system (i.e.
DCS, PLC or SCADA system) via one of its two host ports (see
FIGURE 2-7). A configured host port has its own unique RTU address
and enables Modbus RTU on serial communication.

A maximum of four field ports are available to connect to gauging
instruments. The field ports can be configured for GPU on Bi-Phase
Mark communication or GPU on serial communication.
NOTE: A single CIU Prime cannot be connected to an Entis Pro host system.
