3- 34. The funct i on selection section of the front pa nel contains the POWER (S tb y/ On ), and
Rese t keys, Functi on keys gro up ( wit hin the boarder outline ) and Gate Time / Delay control.

po we r is s upplied to en ti re instrumen t. In th e S TBY po si tio n ( OUT ) unregu lated dc is s upplied
o nl y to Ba tt ery- Pack charging circuits ( Optio n 002 ). The Reset key cle ars and updates the display

or c ontinuo us measur ement modes, a nd resets the counter in totalize modes.

36. Each of the ke ys wit hin the outlined fu nction g ro up can se lect one of t wo f unction s, as
f oll ows: W ith the Blue c olo red shi ft key in the "OU T" po si ti on, the keys select the function
labeled above (i.e., FR EQ A, T. I. A- B, etc.). With the Sh ift key in the " I N" position, the ke ys select
the
function labeled in bl ue b elow (i.e., PER A, T.I. AVG A- B, etc.).
3 -3 7. Th e GATE TIME/ DEl AY co n tro l determ in es the amount of gate ti me per measurement,
co nti nuo us ly adjustable over a range of 50 ms to 10 s. Th e se lected gate ti me may be di splayed by
pressing
th e GATE TIME function key, and the Blue shift key. In th e T. I. DElA Y mod e of operation
the contro l determine s the amou nt of t im e the Start Channel is he ld off or " dela yed" { se e para-
graph 3-19}. The
amount of " del ay" may be di splayed by pressing the TI A- B, T.I. DELAY, and
Blue s
hi ft key simultane ou sly. In th e T.I. A- B mode of operatio n, the GATE TI ME/DElAY
c on tro l determine s the sample rate.
3-38. SIGNAL CONDITIONING CONTROLS
3- 39 . A full comp l iment of signal co nd i tioni ng co n tro ls are provid ed for each channel (A and B)
input ( see Figure 3-4). Th ese controls a llo w the se lec tio n of Attenuati on (Xl , X 20 ), Slope ( po sitive
or negative) and i nput coupling ( AC or DC). The S EP / COM A switch allows the se l ectio n of
separate Channel A and B input in the S EP position. The COM A pos itio n disconnects the Cha n-
nel B Input BN C, and con nects both Channel A and Cha nne l B in put amp lifi ers to the
Cha
nn el A in put .
