hpshowdisk
Synopsis
hpshowdisk
Description
The hpshowdisk utility helps to identify disks recognized by the system. This utility can be
useful when the system has a large number of disks, typically on SAN architectures. Besides
device name and size, the utility includes information about disk controller, SAN storage devices
WWIDs, and SAN logical disks LUNs.
The hpshowdisk utility is internally used by SSTK scripts to display the Available Disks menu
during installations. It is also used externally with the Rapid Deployment Pack where, by default,
it is called the showdisk application. SSTK scripts uses the -n option to avoid this external
application call.
