Parameter Description
Controller ID The parameter indicates the controller to which the FC host port belongs. A
stands for controller A and B stands for controller B.
Port ID The parameter indicates the number of the FC host port.
Health Status The parameter indicates the status of the functions and running specifications
of the FC host port.
l Normal: It indicates that the functions of the FC port are properly and all
the parameters are set correctly.
l Unknown: It indicates that the system cannot report the health status of
the FC host port.
Running
Status
The parameter indicates the running status of the FC host port. The status can
be Online or Offline.
Rate The parameter indicates the data transmission rate, and the unit is Gbit/s.

Exception Handling
l If the running status of the FC host port is Offline, ensure that the optical fibers are inserted
into the optical module.
l If the health status of the FC host port is Unknown, remove and insert the optical fibers
and check the status again.
l If a new alarm related to the FC host port is displayed on the alarm interface, click the alarm
and remove the fault according to the troubleshooting suggestions under the alarm.
If the fault persists, contact technical support engineers.
4.8 Checking the Status of the SAS Host Port
This section describes how to check the SAS host port through the ISM.
Reference Standard
l No new alarms related to the SAS host port are displayed on the alarm interface.
l The health status of the SAS host port is Normal and the running status is Online.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the ISM.
Step 2 In the navigation tree, choose the Physical tab.
Step 3 In the Physical tab, expand the nodes and click Controller Enclosure xx or Disk Enclosure
xx (xx indicates the controller enclosure ID or disk enclosure ID).
