PROVED” symbol as at left on the serial number seal, con-
form to intrinsically safe ratings of the FMRC (Factory Mutual
Research Corporation).
Intrinsically safe : Class I, II, III, Division 1, Groups C, D, E, F, G
Nonincendive : Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D
Connected battery pack : BP-227FM
The repair and maintenance of an FM approved transceiver can only be per-
formed in an Factory Mutual approved repair facility. The FM approval will be can-
celed if FM intrinsically safe radios are repaired anywhere else except in an
approved facility.
