GEAR RANGE AND CENTER DIFFERENTIAL

When taking your Grenadier o-road, you might need extra
torque and slower speeds. The two-speed transfer case selector
allows you to shift into a lower gear range. Use that range only
while o-road and only when needed there.
For particularly dicult conditions, your Grenadier’s center
dierential can be locked. Locking the center dierential causes
both axles to rotate at the same rate, mechanically locked through
the center dierential. This improves traction on uneven or
slippery terrain.
Shifting the transfer case selector
The
transfer
case selector is used to shift between the high and
low gear ranges, and to lock and unlock the center dierential,
resulting in four possible positions.
NOTE: Only HIGH, Unlocked (A) should be used on paved
roads.
The Telltale cluster will display
if a low gear range position is
selected (C or D).

center dierential is locked (B or D), the Telltale cluster will
display
and . Electronic Stability Control (ESC) operates in
a
limited o-road
mode only (delayed ESC intervention), and
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are disabled. The
