Insert the key into the ignition switch. It will be in the OFF
position (1) in the diagram.
Turn the key to the START position (4).
Once the engine starts, release the key and allow it to
turn back
to the RUN position (3). Holding the key in
position (4) with the engine running may damage your
Grenadier.
In temperatures of -4°F (-20° C) and below), do not run the engine
above 4,000 rpm, while stopped or pulling away until the coolant
temperature gauge reaches normal operating temperature. If you
do, your engine may be damaged.
WARNING: Anyone with the key can start your Grenadier.
Keep the
key away from children. Letting children have
unsupervised access to the key can allow them to
deplete the battery and to start the engine. That can lead
to disablement, rollaways, carbon monoxide poisoning,
and other such dangers. Children can also ingest the
battery, which can be fatal. Failure to follow these
instructions and precautions may result in serious injury
and death.
Turning the engine o
To turn o the engine:
Bring your Grenadier to a full stop and continue to press
the brake pedal with your foot.
Set the parking brake.
Shift the gear selector to the P (Park) position.
Turn the key to the OFF position (1).
PARKING BRAKE
You
should set the parking brake whenever you park. You must
set the parking brake when:
Parking on a slope.
Loading and unloading your Grenadier.
Jacking your Grenadier.
Changing a tire.
Attaching or detaching a trailer.
Parking with an attached trailer.
