the child locks are activated. Position (B) indicates that the child
locks are not activated.
30/70 REAR DOORS
Operating the rear doors from the outside
Open the 30-side rst.
Unlock the doors using the key unlock button or the door
unlock button on the inside of the driver door.
Grasp the handle on the 30 side door, press the button
in the handle, and pull the handle and door toward you.
Swing the door open fully. Note that there is a detent to
hold the door open.
Then address the 70-side.
Check for clearance on the passenger side of your
Grenadier. When
the 70-side door is fully open, the spare
tire will protrude beyond the passenger side.
Grasp the vertical door release handle just inside the 70-
side door.
Pull the 70-side door open, being mindful of the added
weight from the spare tire.
A gas
strut is mounted horizontally at the bottom of the 70 side
door. It assists with moving the weight of the door and spare tire.
Note there is no detent and the gas strut will not hold the 70-side
door open. Never hang any objects from the gas strut; it will not
function properly if bent.
NOTE: Note that there is no detent to keep the 70 side
door open. It can be closed by wind. It can be closed by
pushing. It can be closed by gravity if the Grenadier’s
