Do not use window openings to get into or out
of your
Grenadier except in an emergency
when there is no other way.
Failure to follow these instructions and
precautions may
result in injury, serious injury
and death.
Rear Windows
The windows
in the 30/70 rear doors and the side windows in the
cargo area are xed. They do not move.
Keep them clear and unobstructed so that the driver has a clear
eld of vision.
Safari Windows (if equipped)
Safari windows may be in the roof of your Grenadier, over each of
the front seats. Each has a latch on the rear side, toward the rear
of your Grenadier. Each has hinges on the front side.
To open a Safari window, push the bottom of the latch forward.
The window is then unlocked. Push the window upward until the
latch snaps into position to hold the window open.
To close a Safari window, push the center (hinge/pivot point) of
the latch forward. Allow the window to drop into the closed
position. Then pull the bottom of the latch rearward to lock it.
To remove a Safari window:
Push the bottom of the latch forward.
Push the window upward.
Lift the bottom of the latch lock upwards and then move
the latch
forward to disconnect it from the rear
mounting point.
Push the window to near vertical.
Pull the window upward with both hands until the hinges
are free of their mounts in the roof.
Turn the window to an angle that will allow it to pass
through the opening and bring it into your Grenadier.
Stow the window.
To reposition a Safari window:
Guide the window upward through the opening with
both hands
and position it so that the latch will be inside
and to the rear of your Grenadier when the window is
closed.
Guide the hinges into the front mounts.
Gently lower the window until it is closed.
Reposition the bottom of the latch with one hand and
close the latch with the other.
Have a rm
grip when removing and repositioning a Safari
window. If it slips and falls, it could injure.
