Press the button of the dust indicator and return the yellow
piston.
If the air cleaner clogging caution lamp lights up or the yel-
low piston reaches the red line (7.5 kPa {0.076 kg/cm
2
})
immediately after the cleaning of the outer element, re-
place the inner and outer elements with new ones.

Release the lock of the radiator guard side cover and close
it.
METHOD FOR REPLACING AIR CLEANER ELEMENT
1.
Open inspection cover (1) of air cleaner on the right side of
machine, and lock it.
2.
Remove clips (2) (6 places) and remove cover (3).
3.
Hold the outer element (4), rock it lightly up and down and
to the right and left, and pull the outer element (4) out
while turning it to the right or left.
Do not remove inner element (5) at this time.
4.
When outer element (4) is removed, check that inner ele-
ment (5) does not come off or incline.
If it is at an angle, push it straight to the bottom with your
hand.
5.
After removing outer element (4), cover the inner element
(5) with a clean cloth or tape to prevent dirt or dust from
entering.
6.
Clean dust sticking inside air cleaner body (6) and on cover (3) by using a clean cloth or brush.
