Remove the drain plug (5), install the elbow of accessory
tool, insert the hose, and drain the oil.
Remove the mud and dirt from around drain plug (5), then
remove the plug.

After draining the oil, clean the drain plugs (1), (4), and (5),
and install them.
Tightening torque for plugs (1) and (5): 58.8 to 78.4 Nm {6
to 8 kgm}
Tightening torque for plug (4): 127.4 to 176.4 Nm {13.0 to
18.0 kgm}
8.
Refill with specified amount of oil through the oil filler port (F) of axle housing and oil filler port (2) of right
and left final drives.
9.
Check that the oil level is correct by using plug (2) or level plug (3).
See “METHOD FOR CHECKING OIL LEVEL IN AXLE CASE AND ADDING OIL (4-25)”.
10.
Install the plug (2), oil level plug (3), and oil filler plug (F).
Tightening torque for plug (2), level plug (3), and oil filler plug (F): 127.4 to 176.4 Nm {13.0 to 18.0 kgm}
METHOD FOR REPLACING AIR CONDITIONER FRESH/RECIRC AIR FILTERS
Remove both the recirculation air filter and fresh air filter in the same way as in the cleaning procedure, and
replace them with new ones.

METHOD FOR CLEANING PPC CIRCUIT STRAINER
WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
For details of air bleeding from hydraulic circuit, consult your Komatsu distributor.
1.
Set the bottom of bucket to be level, and lower the work equipment to the ground.
2.
Set the parking brake switch to ON position (operate).
3.
Stop the engine.
Wait for the temperature of each part to drop.
4.
Open cover (1) at the rear of cab, and fix it with the band.
