Kickstarter

The kickstarterb is fitted on the right of the engine.
The engine can be started with either the kickstarter or the electric starter.
The upper part of the kickstarter can be swung out.

Before riding, swing the upper part of the kickstarter inwards towards the en-
gine.
Side stand

Always place the vehicle on a firm and even surface.

Material damageDamage and destruction of components by excessive load.
The side stand is designed for the weight of the motorcycle only. Do not sit on the
motorcycle when it is supported by the side stand only. The side stand and/or the
frame could be damaged and the motorcycle could fall over.
To park the motorcycle, press the side standb
with your foot to the ground and lean
the motorcycle on it.

When you are riding, the side standb must be folded up and secured with the rubber
bandb
.
Steering lock (EXC-RbEU, EXC-RbAUS/UK, EXC-RbUSA)

The steering lockb is fitted on the left of the steering head.
The steering lock is used to lock the steering. Steering, and therefore riding, is no
longer possible.
Locking the steering (EXC-RbEU, EXC-RbAUS/UK, EXC-RbUSA)

Always place the vehicle on a firm and even surface.
Park the motorcycle.
Turn the handlebar as far as possible to the right.
