ದ Holding the front wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the front wheel out of
the fork.

Do not pull the hand brake lever when the front wheel is removed.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-
aged.

Danger of accidentsಘReduced braking due to oil or grease on the brake discs.
ದ Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease, and clean them with brake cleaner when necessary.

ದ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ದ Clean and grease shaft seal ringsb
and bearing surfaceb of the distance bush-
ings.
Long-life grease ( P. 115)
ದ Fit the distance bushings.

ದ Lift the front wheel into the fork, position it, and insert the wheel spindle.
ದ Mount and tighten screwb

ದ Operate the hand brake lever several times until the brake pads are lying correctly
on the brake disc.
ದ Remove the motorcycle from the work stand. ( P. 32)
ದ Pull the front wheel brake and push down hard on the fork several times to align
the fork legs.
ದ Fully tighten screwb
