Removing rear wheelbx
ದ Jack up the motorcycle. ( P. 32)

ದ Press the brake caliper by hand on to the brake disc in order to press back the
brake piston.

Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.
ದ Remove nutb

ದ Remove chain adjusterb
. Withdraw the wheel spindleb only enough to allow the
rear wheel to be pushed forward.
ದ Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain from the rear
sprocket.
ದ Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the rear wheel out of the
swing arm.

Do not operate the foot brake when the rear wheel is removed.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-
aged.

ದ Remove the spacing sleevesb.
Fitting rear wheelbx
Warning
Danger of accidentsಘReduced braking due to oil or grease on the brake discs.
ದ Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease, and clean them with brake cleaner when necessary.

ದ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ದ Clean and grease shaft seal ringsb
and bearing surfaceb of the spacing sleeves.
Long-life grease ( P. 115)
ದ Fit the spacing sleeves.

ದ Lift the rear wheel into the swing arm, position it, and insert the wheel spindleb.
ದ Put the chain on.
