KTM 65 SX 2012 - Removing the Fork Protector; Installing the Fork Protector

MAINTENANCE WORK ON THE CHASSIS 27
– Clean and oil the dust boots and inner fork tube of both fork legs.
Universal oil spray ( p. 82)
– Press the dust boots back into their normal position.
– Remove excess oil.
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 26)

– Remove screws . Take off clamp .
– Remove screw  on the left fork leg. Take off the fork protector.

– Remove screw  on the right fork leg. Take off the fork protector.
10.6Installing the fork protector x
C00022-10
– Position the fork protection on the right fork leg. Mount and tighten screws .
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
C00024-11
– Position the fork protection on the left fork leg. Mount and tighten screws .
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Position the brake line. Mount clamp .
– Mount the screws .
