10.40Checking the throttle cable routing

Dismount the fuel tank. x ( p. 36)

– Check the throttle cable routing.
The throttle cable must be routed to the carburetor behind the handlebars above
the tank bearing.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
– Correct the throttle cable routing.

10.41Checking the rubber grip

– Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage, wear, and looseness.
» If a rubber grip is damaged, worn, or loose:
– Change and secure the rubber grip.

10.42Additionally securing the rubber grip
– Check the rubber grip. ( p. 43)

– Secure the rubber grip at two locations with the retaining wire.

The twisted wire ends face away from the palms and are bent in toward the
rubber grip.
10.43Adjusting basic position of clutch lever

– Adjust the basic position of the clutch lever to the size of the rider's hand using
adjusting screw .
Info
Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the distance between the
clutch lever and the handlebar.
Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to decrease the distance between
the clutch lever and the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.
Turn the adjusting screw by hand only, and do not apply any force.
Do not make any adjustments while riding!
