The unit performs a power reset after the firmware has been loaded and stored.
5.2.3 Serial Port Recovery Procedure
If for some reason the firmware is damaged, you can recover the firmware file by using the
serial port to download the *.ROM file. Start XPort™ Installer, select the device, click Action
and select Advanced/Recover Firmware. The Recover Firmware dialog box appears.
Enter the Local Port on your PC and the location of the Firmware File. The Device Model
should indicate XPort™. Click OK to download the file.
