Observethefollowingguidelineswhenusingtheacpoweradapter:
•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetransformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebatterypack,makesurethatitstemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterywhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandthebatteryis
installed.Chargeitinanyofthefollowingconditions:
–Whenyoupurchaseanewbattery
–Ifthebatterymeteratthebottomofyourdisplayindicatesalowbatterychargelevel
–Ifthebatteryhasnotbeenusedforalongtime
Chargingthebattery
Itisrecommendedthatyouchargethebatteryorreplaceitwithachargedbatteryonanyofthefollowing
conditions:
•Thepercentageofbatterypowerremainingislow.
•Thepoweralarmalertsyouthattheremainingpowerislow.
Powersaving
Thereareseveraloptionsthatyoucanchoosetoconservepower.
Puttingcomputerintosleepmode
Ifyouarenotgoingtousethecomputerforashorttime,putthecomputerintosleepmode.Thisnotonly
helpsyouconservepower,butalsoprovidesyoutheconveniencetobypassthestartupprocessand
directlyresumethecomputerfornormaloperation.
Toputthecomputerintosleepmode,dooneofthefollowing:
•Windows7:
1.ClickStart.
2.ClickthetrianglemarknexttotheShutdownbutton,andthenselectSleep.
Windows10:
1.ClickStart.
2.SelectSleepfromthePowermenuoptions.
•PressFn+F1.
Attention:Waituntilthepowerindicatorstartsblinking(indicatingthatthecomputerisinsleepstate)
beforeyoumovethecomputer.Movingthecomputerwhiletheharddiskdriveisspinningcandamagethe
harddiskdrive,causinglossofdata.
Towakeupthecomputer,dooneofthefollowing:
•Pressthepowerbutton.
•Pressanykeyonthekeyboard.
Shuttingdownthecomputer
Ifyouarenotgoingtousethecomputerforadayortwo,shutitdown.
