Replacingtheharddiskdrive
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Attention:Theharddiskdriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamageandpermanentloss
ofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectorsandslotofthehard
diskdrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchangesordriveswapping.
•Donotdropthedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,
thatabsorbsphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthedrive.
•Donottouchanyconnectorsontheharddiskdrive.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,andthenturn
offthecomputer.
•Neverremovethedrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputerandthendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetofiveminutestoletthecomputercool.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebatterypack.See“Replacingthebatterypack”onpage27.
4.Removethescrews1,andthenremovethebottomslotcover2.
