Generate a connecon between inverter and »EASY Starter«
For commissioning the inverter with the »EASY Starter«, a communicaon link with the inverter is required.
This can be established in a wired manner only.
How to establish a communicaon link via the X16 engineering port to the inverter:
Precondions
•
The inverter is ready for operaon (mains voltage is switched on).
•
No errors or faults.
Required accessories
•
Engineering PC with installed »EASY Starter«
•
Standard network cable
1. Insert the network cable into engineering port X16 of the inverter.
2. Use the network cable to connect the inverter to the PC on which »EASY Starter« is installed.
3. Open the »EASY Starter« Start.
The "Add devices" dialog is shown.
4. Select the "Ethernet" connecon.
5. Press the Insert buon.
The »EASY Starter« searches the selected communicaon path for connected devices. Following successful
connecon, the inverter is shown in the device list. The »EASY Starter« tabs then provide access to the
inverter parameters.
Commissioning
Precondions
•
The mechanic
al and electrical installaon of the inverter is complete.
•
If necessary, the motor is mechanically decoupled from the system.
•
Check whether the system can be mechanically damaged if the non-decoupled drive makes
uncontrolled movements.
•
The inverter is supplied with voltage.
•
For parameterizaon purposes, it makes sense to supply the device with 24 V if the mains voltage and
the motor data deviate from the default seng.
•
If it has been ensured that the mains voltage and motor data sengs correspond to the actual
condions, the mains voltage can be connected.
•
The connecon between the inverter and the engineering PC with installed »EASY Starter« has been
established.
•
The »EASY Starter« is open and connected to the inverter.
•
The device list of the »EASY Starter« contains the inverter with the correct device descripon.
•
For an explanaon of where the device list can be found, please consult the online help of
the »EASY Starter«. Press the F1 key to call up the online help.
•
No fault is indicated by the inverter diagnoscs.
•
Check the LED status displays. LED status display ^ 178
•
Check the error messages.
•
Check available applicaon credit on the storage medium.
