The concept
If a video signal of the Blu-ray player is present on the HDMI input of the transmitter, the
source will be automatically switched to the optical output. If the video signal of the PC is
also present on the DVI-D input of the transmitter, it will be switched to the optical output. If
the Laptop is connected, the DP input will be switched to the optical output – independently
of the presence of the other video signals.
Settings
▪ Optical output: Set the Autoselect to Enabled. The Autoselect mode is Priority detect.
The priorities are the followings:
Laptop: 0 (I1, DP IN)
PC: 1 (I4, DVI-D IN)
Blu-ray: 2 (I2/I3, HDMI IN)
The other inputs can be disabled. See settings in section 6.4.4 on page 34.
4.3. Controlling features
The interfaces of the HDMI-3D-OPT-TX200 series transmitter can be used to install the
device at various point of a complex A/V system. Besides, the transmitter is able to handle
controlling functions. This chapter is about to present the possibilities through two simple
layout examples.
System control via local Ethernet (example)
The following ways are available for controlling the devices:
▪ The System controller can communicate with the Transmitter by LW2/LW3 protocol
commands sent to the local IP:port address; see settings in section 11.6 on page
104.
▪ The System controller can communicate directly with the Projector or an Extender via
their IP:port address.
▪ The System controller can communicate directly with the RS-232 relay box connected
to the Transmitter. In this case, Command Injection mode has to be enabled on the local
RS-232 port.
▪ The Transmitter can send a command (e.g. as an action by the Event Manager) to the
IP:port address of the Projector or an Extender by using LW3 protocol methods; see
settings in section 8.8.9 on page 83.
System control via local RS-232 (example)
The following ways are available for controlling the devices:
▪ The System controller can communicate with LW2/LW3 protocol commands via the
local RS-232 port of the Transmitter; see settings in section 11.6 on page 104.
