6 Intended use
Birthing bed is designed to be used by mothers-to-be for vaginal delivery. The birthing bed is de-
signed to enable different birthing positions in all delivery birthing stages including postpartum pe-
riod.
6.1 User population
► Pregnant women during ambulant and stationary pregnancy check-ups and/or in all labor
stages and her companions.
► Caregivers and hospital staff (midwives, labor and delivery nurses, doctors, and technical
personnel, transport personnel, cleaning personnel, interns and birth professional students)
► Maintenance personnel
6.2 Contraindications
► Contraindication is the use of the birthing bed for elective (planned) Caesarean sections. The
birthing bed cannot be used to leave the newborn on unattended.
► The birthing bed cannot be used as a crib for the newborn.
► The birthing bed is not intended for use as a general hospital bed.
6.3 Operator

► Patient (based on individual patient status assessment by caregiver the patient can utilize
dedicated device functions)
