9 Operating the bed
WARNING!
The birthing bed is not designed for permanent operation – motors can only be
loaded up to the values defined on the label, i.e. 2 minutes of operation followed
by 18 minutes of stand by. Excess workload of the device may result in automatic
stop. Under such conditions, authorized service action is needed.
WARNING!
The bed includes firmware that can be updated only by an authorised service
technician. This firmware is protected against unauthorised access by
mechanical housing (tool is needed to access), by seal (components with
processor are sealed), by exclusive compatibility with an authorised software
tool and by check of compatibility of the new firmware with the bed.
Components of the product are not treated against fire. Hence, avoid handling near open fire.
If this rule is not observed, the device may catch fire.
When handling the product, please pay attention to the protection of a power cable against
mechanical damage, especially its insulation.
In case of fuse replacement pay attention to correct selection of a fuse type. Fuses need
not be replaced by an authorized L I N E T spol. s r.o. service; it can be done by a qualified
electrician.
Pay attention to free passage of hoses, cannulae, and other free parts (in case infusions are
used) so as not to get these pinched in the moving parts of the product (rails or leaning parts
may be the risk locations).
When positioning the product, collision with objects may occur. Keeping safe distance from
other objects is recommended in order to prevent damage and injury
9.1 Side rails
WARNING!
Always check functionality of the side rails before use

Upon regular service check-up it is necessary to check and adjust side rails
WARNING!
Siderails are intended to be a reminder, not a patient restraining device.
WARNING!
The siderails should always be in a full upright position and latched when
a patient is unattended
The woman sitting in the chair can use the handles for increasing her sitting stability or pressing
internal functional buttons to increase her sitting comfort.
Side rails are also intended for medical professionals. During closer access to woman in labor sider-
ials can be parked away from outer side. Undetachable side rails can be used by the birth mother
to fix herself and reach more stable position during birth.
