Standbymode is characterizedbythe following:

themaximum non-operational time appears
in themedia display.

theconnection to online services is interrup‐
ted.
R
theATA (anti-theftalarm system) is notavail‐
able.
R
theinterior motion sensor and tow-away
alarmfunctionsare notavailable.

thefunction fordetecting damageona
parked vehicle is notavailable.
If thefollowing conditionsare fulfilled, standby
mode can be activated or deactivated usingthe
multimedia system:
R
theengine is switched off.
R
theignition is switched on.
Exceeding thevehicle's displayednon-opera‐
tional time maycause inconvenience, i.e.itcan‐
notbeguaranteedthat thestarter batterywill
reliably startthe engine.
The starterbatterymustbecharged firstinthe
following situations:

The vehicle's non-operational time mustbe
extended.
R
The Battery ChargeInsufficient for Standby
Mode message appearsinthe media display.
