Disinfect items
The steam oven can be used to
disinfect baby bottles and other
containers so that at the end of the
pr
ogramme they are as germ free as
they would have been had they been
boiled. Check beforehand that all parts,
teats etc. are declared by the
manufacturer to be heat resistant to
100 °C and also that they can
withstand hot steam.
Dismantle, clean and thoroughly rinse
baby
bottles. All parts of the bottles
must be completely dry before they are
reassembled to keep them germ free.
Procedure
Place the individual parts in a
perforated container (on their sides or
with the opening facing downwards)
ensuring that they do not touch one
another to allow hot steam to reach
them from all sides.
Place the container on the lowest
shelf level.
