General problems with the washing machine
Problem Possible cause and remedy
The drum remains
stationary but the
programme keeps
running.
 Switch the washing machine off and then back on
with the  button.
 Note the message in the display.
 Touch the Start/Stopsensor.
The programme will continue and the drum will spin.
The door will not open
Problem Possible cause and remedy
The door cannot be
pulled open during a
programme.
The door is locked during the washing process.
 Touch the Start/Stop sensor.
 Select Cancel programme or Add laundry.
The door will unlock and you will be able to pull it
open.
There is still water in the drum and the machine is
unable to drain.
 Clean the drain system as described in “Opening
the door in the event of a blocked drain outlet and/
or power cut”.
 Programme cancelled
appears in the display
at the end of a
programme or after a
programme has been
cancelled.
For safety reasons, the door cannot be opened if the
suds temperature is higher than 55°C.
 Wait until the temperature in the drum has
decreased and the message has gone out in the
display.
The following appears
in the display:
The door lock is jammed.
Call Miele.
The door lock has jammed.
 Call Miele.
