The shafts have now been removed from the detector and can be replaced if required.
3.5.3 Fitting the Shafts
a. The detector body needs to be opened in order to fit the shafts to the detector, refer to
Section 3.1 – Opening the Detector Body.
b.
The coil must be fitted to the shaft then the shaft fitted to the detector this process is
described in Section 3.4.6 - Fitting the Coil.
c.
Assemble the detector as described in Section 3.2 - Closing the Detector Body.
d.
Once the detector is fully assembled check the operation of all moving parts and test the
detector as described in Section 2 - Mechanical & Functional Testing.
