• Understanding the On-Screen Displays
Your TV provides an on-screen summary of the current settings for
the TV or cable channels, as well as the information related to
Extended Data Services (EDS). EDS a:Llows broadcasters to supply
you with the current time, channel information, and program
information. To view this information, press the display button
(DISPLAY) on the remote control repeatedly. This section
describes the displays in the order that they occur.

O This setting indicates the
following:
• input source (antenna, channel
number),
• call letters,
• stereo andJ'or SAP are available
for reception on this channel,
• this channel is programmed into
super quick view memory,
• PIP input source (when select-
ing PIP image),
• current day of the week, and
• time.
This setting indicates the
following:
• input source (external source or
input name),
• S-VHS cable has been connected,
• PIP input ,source (when select-
ing PIP image),
• current day of the week, and
• time.
O This shows you where the net-
work name and proD:am name
will appear if the broadcaster is
supplying that mformatmn wa
EDS.

This shows you where the pro-
gram description wil] appear if
the broadcaster is supplying that
information via EDS.
I program description
_>Important:
If the broadcaster is not supplying inforraatioa via EDS, then the
message of no data will appear ("No name available", "No descrip-
tion available"). Additionally, the "call letters" will not appear.
