Overview of the TRANSPORT section.
Start, stop and restart playback, activate record and skip bars while playing, simply by pressing
the dedicated buttons in the TRANSPORT section of the controller. Use the SHIFT button to
invoke secondary commands such as the Loop, Count-in and Rec Mode.
(1) RESTART button: Press the RESTART button at anytime to restart from the beginning of the
current loop range. SHIFT + RESTART + jog wheel moves the Loop. SHIFT + RESTART + jog
wheel + FUNCTION Arrow Left/Right changes the start/end point of the Loop.
(2) METRO button: Press METRO to turn the metronome on/off.
(3) EVENTS button: EVENTS + pad to quickly select all events triggered by that pad in your
Pattern. This notably allows you to precisely define which events your next edit will be applied
to. For detailed information on the EVENTS button please see the Manual.
(4) GRID button: Enters Grid mode. The Grid mode allows you to select resolutions for the Step
Grid (used for quantization), for changing Pattern Lengths and transitions between Scene.
Press SHIFT + GRID to access REC MODE. This allows you adjust Metronome parameters (Lev-
el, Time signature and Count-In Length) and automatic Quantize mode.
The Grid mode can be pinned: Press GRID + Button 1 to pin/unpin the Grid mode. See
10.1.1, Controller Modes and Mode Pinning for more information.
(5) PLAY button: Press the PLAY button to activate playback. Press PLAY a second time to stop
playback.
