5. Remove the steering post from the vehicle.
6. With the steering post removed, note the position and
assembly of the lower post bushings.

STEERING POST INSTALLATION
NOTICE
The lower steering post bushings control the amount of
vertical movement in the steering post. Install new
bushings is they are damaged or show signs of
excessive wear.
LOWER STEERING POST INSTALLATION
1. Install the steering post back into the vehicle.
2. Install the lower steering shaft mounting nut.
TORQUE
Lower Steering Post Mount Fasteners:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
3. Assemble the lower steering post bushings

and
spacers

to the lower steering post mount. Apply a
light film of Polaris Premium Grease to the bushings.
Torque screws to specification. Do not over-torque
the two screws.
TORQUE
Lower Steering Post Bushing Mount Fasteners:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
