PACK LATCH ASSEMBLY
DESCRIPTION
The pack latch assembly consists of a locking
handle connected to a latch by threaded rods and a
turnbuckle. The handle is mounted to the back of
the body back panel. The latch is mounted to a
plate that, in turn, is mounted to the bench seat
back/body back panel support frame.

OPERATION
The keyed locking mechanism in the handle
prevents unauthorized unlatching of the pack unit
for removal. When unlocked, turning the handle
pulls on the threaded rods and turnbuckle to
release the latch. Pushing the latch bracket on the
pack unit into the latch mechanism causes it to
close.
