2.2. Installing the USB Driver
The USB driver establishes communication between the device and the computer via a USB inter-
face.
• The installation dialog of the USB driver pops up automatically when the software is installed.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the dialog box “InstallShield Wizard Complete” is displayed, make sure the check box
“Launch the CP210x VCP Driver Installer” is selected before you press “Finish”.
• In the new dialog box press “Install” to install the driver.
• Restart the computer to complete the installation.
Note:
Use Piccolink of version 2.5.1 or later with Equotip Piccolo and Equotip Piccolo 2.
Older versions are not compatible with the Equotip Piccolo 2.
Note:
A message may pop-up warning you that the software has not passed the Windows
Logo testing. Click “Continue Anyway”.
2.3. Establishing Connection between Device and Computer
• Connect the Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2 device to the computer using the USB cable.
• The following messages are displayed when the device is first connected to the computer:
Piccolink is now ready to communicate with the device.
