•NewVHFantennasaresoldwithafixedcablelength.Thecablelengthpartly
determinestheantennaperformance,andthereforecuttingthecableofan
antennacanaffectitsperformanceandresultinahighVSWRratioandlimited
reception.

•ToenabletheAIStofunction,thesuppliedGNSS(GPS)passiveantennaMUST
beinstalledandconnected.
•Ensurethattheinstallationlocationhasaclearlineofsighttothesky.
Warning:Groundingstudconnection
EnergygeneratedbyNear-lightningstrikes(NLS)andatmosphericstaticbuild-up
canbeconductedbytheproduct,viatheVHFantenna.Toensurethatthisenergy
issafelydischarged,thegroundingstudconnectionlocatedontheproductMUST
beconnected(viaasuitablegroundingstrap)tothevessel’sRFgroundingpoint.
Failuretoconnectthegroundingstudtothevessel’sRFgroundingpointmay
causepermanentdamagetotheproductandinvalidateyourproduct’swarranty.
