TheRSWseriesofwindtransducersrequiresconfigurationtoensure
readingsarepresentedrelativetovesselheading.
Onanon-rotatingmastwhereaheadingsensorispresent,thewind
transducerwillautomaticallycompensateforanyoffsetbetweeninstallation
angleandvesselcenterline(heading).
Onanon-rotatingmastwherenoheadingsensorispresentandthe
transducerhasnotbeeninstalledfacingdirectlyforwards,itisimportant
thatanoffsetisappliedtoaccountforthedifferencebetweenthemast’s
centerlineandthetransducer’sinstallationangle.
Onanon-rotatingmast,ifpoorheadingsensorreadingsareaffectingwind
readings,vesselheadingcanbeignored.However,anoffsetmustbe
appliedtoaccountforthedifferencebetweenthevessel’scenterlineand
thetransducer’sinstallationangle.
Onarotatingmastaheadingsensorisrequiredsothatwindreadings
compensateformastangle.Itisimportantthatanoffsetisappliedtoaccount
forthedifferencebetweenthemast’scenterlineandthetransducer’s
installationangle.Thetransducerwillautomaticallycompensateforthe
differencebetweenheadingandmastangle.
